Bikaner: A fire broke out in Bhaluri village destroying over 50 houses but there was no report of any casualty, police said today.
The fire broke out in one of the houses in the village yesterday and spread to adjoining houses, they said.
District collector Poonam informed that the district administration today gave compensation of Rs 39.56 lakh total to 40 affected families here where houses were destroyed in the fire.
The district administration also provided 50 kg wheat, one kg oil, pulses and other food item to each affected family, she added.
