New Delhi: Indian Railways is all set to get its first ever High end, modern wifi connected train.

The Railways unveiled the new premier train ‘Tejas express’ service for Mumbai and Goa.The Launch is all set for June month.

The high end train has all the modern services like the wifi, LCD’s on each seat, cuisines prepared by celebrity chef’s and many more services.

Since Tejas will be a new premier class train, it will also have tea and coffee vending machines, magazines and snack tables, as said by a senior Railway Ministry official.There will also be water level indicators in bio-vacuum toilets, sensorised taps, and hand driers.

The 20-coach Tejas Express will also have automatic doors and secured gangways for all coaches, a first for the Indian Railways. Currently metro trains alone have the automatic doors. As promised in the budget, Tejas service will be launched for Delhi – Chandigarh route, after the Mumbai-Goa launch.

The coaches in Tejas coaches will have digital destination boards, digital passenger reservation charts and also have integrated braille displays. Just like the Rajdhani and the Shatabdi, the Tejas will also have the same catering services.

The official said the LCD screens will also be used to display information related to the passengers as well as safety instructions, as reported in NDTV.
