Five persons commit suicide

A 13-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling allegedly due to ill-health.

The victim, J. Karthik, resorted to the extreme step at his residence in Sai Nagar on Saturday evening. He was alone when he took the extreme step, according to Uppal police.

In another case, unemployment drove an engineer to suicide. The deceased, JK Chander, 23, resorted to the extreme step at his residence in Ghatkesar on Saturday night. He was reportedly unable to find a suitable job despite completing B.Tech. The same reason is suspected to have driven him to suicide. He was a native of Kakinada.

In a different case, failure in love drove V. Vishnu, 27, to suicide. He was a native of Warangal and an employee of Narayana Residential College in Hyderguda and used to stay in the same campus. He was reportedly in love with a girl and her refusal to marry him drove him to the extreme step. He committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling on Sunday morning, according Rajender Nagar Sub-Inspector G. Shekar Reddy.

In two other cases, Suresh Uniyal, 73, and M. Aruna, 28, committed suicide allegedly due to ill-health. While Suresh, a retired employee, killed self by jumping down from the 12th floor of Emerald My Home Apartments in Miyapur police limits on Saturday evening, Aruna committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Injapur of Vanasthalipuram police limits.
