Former Hockey coach Muhammad Imran: Once a hero, now a street vendor

Gorakhpur: Muhammad Imran, after producing international hockey players is now selling track suits on a bicycle in Gorakhpur district.

Imran used to play for Fertilisation Corporation of India but was forced to become a street vendor after it was shut down.

He has coached Indian Women hockey team vice-captain Nidhi Khullar, and also produced eight international and over 50 hockey players.

According to him, he gets a pension of Rs 1000 and is selling clothes to collect money for his daughter’s wedding.
