Former Kerala CM accuses PM Modi of eating beef

Former Kerala Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan, while speaking in the state assembly session accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of eating beef on his foreign trips. He also condemned the Central Government directives for cattle sale.

In 2003, the Congress Party had accused former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee of eating beef. “BJP is trying to create a new ideology on behalf of the ‘cow-mother and the bull-father’,” Achuthanandan said targeting at Rajagopal, the only BJP legislator in the Kerala assembly, IBT reported.

“The Modi government’s ulterior motive is to lend meat business monopoly to tycoons like Adani and Ambani,” the former CM claimed.

“They oppose castration of the bull-father as that would cause inconvenience to the cow mother,” he added.

When former PM Vajpayee was accused by the Congress party of eating beef in 2003, he had said: “I prefer to die rather than eat beef.”
