Four headless bodies recovered from a ditch

New Delhi: Four headless bodies were on Monday recovered from a ditch near Sanha Railway halt in the district, a police official said.

Some women were collecting fodder near a ditch when they suddenly came across the torsos lying there and promptly informed the police, Sahebpur Kamal Police Station in-charge Rajesh Kumar said.

He said the four corpses — one of a a woman, two minor girls and a boy have been sent for postmortem.

It appears that the perpetrators had chopped off the heads of the victims and dumped their bodies in a ditch, Kumar said, adding a probe is on.

Efforts are on to ascertain the identity of the victims, the official said.
