Four nabbed while exchanging old currency notes

Sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone team today apprehended four persons, who procured old currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denominations illegally after the demonetization.  They were trying to exchange the demonetized old currency notes with new currency notes near Amberpet Post Office.

The sleuths seized old currency worth Rs 48,66,000, six Cell phones and one car from their possession. The accused were identified as M. Krishna Chaitanya Kumar Reddy, 35, S. Suresh Babu, 53, M. Jagadish, 40, of Ramanthapur and M. Venkateshwarlu, 30, car driver pf B.N. Reddy Nagar, Hyderabad.

           

The accused along with the seized property were handed over to SHO, Amberpet Police Station.           The arrests were made under the supervision of B. Limba Reddy, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force by L. Raja Venkat Reddy, Inspector, West Zone Task Force Team, with the assistance of SIs and staff of West Zone team.
