‘Frustrated’ Congress sensing defeat in Bihar: BJP

New Delhi, Nov. 1 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday alleged that the comments being made by the Congress leaders reflect the frustration of the grand old party as it looks forward to its impending defeat in the Bihar Assembly polls.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra lashed out at Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s ‘India’s unity in diversity in danger’ remark.

“Sonia ji saying that there is divisive policy in the country going on only shows the frustration of the Congress Party. The impending defeat of the Bihar election which even the Congress has palpated is the reason why we are seeing such utterances and frustration from the Congress quarters,” Patra told ANI.

Patra further said the reality is that the Congress, which is contesting on 41 seats, would even fail to open its account this time.

The Congress president had yesterday said India’s history of unity in diversity was in danger due to communal ideology and the “incidents of hatred” in the country were the outcome of the “planned conspiracy”.

“The country’s honour is at stake as India’s glorious history of unity in diversity is in danger due to some communal ideology,” she said while addressing the 29th ‘Indira Gandhi Award for National Integration’ function.

“The ‘incidents of hatred’ were inspired by the narrow mindset. These have not come up suddenly, but are a planned conspiracy,” she added. (ANI)
