Fuel depot explosion kills five workers in Pakistan

Lahore: At least five workers were killed today and three others injured in an explosion at a fuel depot on the outskirts this Pakistani city near the border with India.

The blast took place when a fuel tanker was refilling at the depot in Burki area.

Rescue spokesman Jam Sajjad said that rescue workers controlled the fire and shifted dead and injured to hospitals.

“Five people were killed and three injured in the incident,” he said.
