Gade defends Naidu over land deals, ready to join TDP

Bapatla: Congress leader and former minister Gade Venkat Reddy today came in support of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu saying there was nothing wrong in buying lands in the vicinity of Amaravathi.
Speaking to the media at his residence here on Friday, the former Congress minister said he was ready to join the TDP without any condition if Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu extended an invitation. “There was nothing wrong in buying lands in Amaravathi. If the lands taken over under Land Acquisition Act from 29 villages for construction of a new capital were not handed over to the government, we can raise the issue. But how can one find fault if lands were bought in the surrounding villages of Amaravathi”, he asked. “It was the responsibility of those who are levelling charges against TDP leaders to prove their allegations. If they have evidence, they can approach the High Court”, Venkat Reddy said. (NSS)
