Hyderabad: Search for Telangana Waqf Tribunal office has finally ended. Government has selected the 7th floor of Gagan Vihar located at Nampally for setting up Waqf Tribunal. After inspecting various government buildings located at the prime places of the city, Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel selected the 7th floor of Gagan Vihar for the purpose. Telangana Waqf Tribunal will soon begin functioning in the said building.
It must be noted that Telangana Waqf Tribunal was dysfunctional since last June. The Telangana government constituted the separate Waqf tribunal for the state in December 2014 but City Civil Court had no place for it. The Tribunal was formed to clear hundreds of cases pending for years.
