‘Gau raksha’ shall continue in the future: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat

Agra: Addressing a large gathering of teachers in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ( RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said that the ‘gau raksha’ movement for the protection of cows had gained considerable momentum and will continue expanding.

Bhagwat said the shastras teach us to treat cows as mothers and inculcate a feeling of protectiveness in us.

Talking about the ongoing Kashmir unrest, Bhagwat said people of the Valley are not in favour of Pakistan, but the government has to work to develop pro-India feelings in them.

“Kashmiri people are well aware of Pakistan. It is not as if they want to go to Pakistan but they should also develop strong pro-India feelings within them. This feeling is still left. The government is doing its best. The state and central governments as well as security forces need to keep a tight vigil in the state,” he said while addressing the gathering in Braj region.

Speaking about the Hindu population, Bhagwat said there is no law in the country that prevents Hindus from having more children. (ANI)
