Germany to deport foreigners, facing high rise in molestation cases

Cologne: The sharp rise in assault cases on women has disturbed Cologne, Hamburg and some other cities of Germany. On the New Year eve, thousands of sexual assaults cases were reported by women against Arab and South African men.This made the government take a decision of deporting foreigners.

Cologne Police states “553 criminal complaints have been lodged, 45% of which are for sexual assaults, around 1.1 million claimed asylum” Nearly 2,000 people demonstrated against Angela Merkel’s open-door policy on refugees. They marched through out Legida city on Monday venting their anger on the government. Police arrested around 211 people for damaging buildings and burning cars during the protest.

Justice Minister Heiko Maas says “no-one is permitted to put themselves above the law” after receiving reports of sharp rise in assault cases.
