GHMC claims 94% success in “100 Days Action Plan”

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation on Tuesday claimed that it has achieved a success rate of 94.50% in executing the tasks under the “100 Days Action Plan” which was announced by Municipal Administration Minister K. Tarakarama Rao after the GHMC elections.

Addressing a press conference here, GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardharn Reddy listed out 26 major activities which were successfully performed by the corporation. GHMC has achieved 100% success in create Citizen interface to know the status and flow of file; Integrated Citizen Services Mobile App for GHMC; Creation of “Convergence Portal”; Distribution of balance 14.22 lakh bins to ensure 100% coverage of households; Development of 150 fully equipped gymnasiums in convergence with Youth Clubs and development of 329 sports grounds – Volleyball/ Badminton / Tennikoit / Basketball.

The GHMC chief said that Bank Linkage of Rs.112 Crores was given to 4067 Self Help Groups (SHGs). Likewise, of 60,000 applications received under LRS, 12,514 were cleared as against the target of 10,000 applications.

The achievements under 100 Days Action Plan include development of 50 bus bays worth Rs. 3 Crores; Reducing of 1089 Garbage Vulnerable Points; Desiltation of 284 major Nalas; Construction of 40 Model Markets worth Rs. 26 Crore and installation of 74 Public Toilets with arrangements for their maintenance with Rs. 5 Crores.

Dr. Janardhan Reddy said that the constitution of GHMC Ward Committees and Area Sabhas was pending for formal approval of GHMC General body. (INN)
