GHMC Commissioner makes surprise visit to Old City

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy made a surprise visit to the South Zone office situated at Sardar Mahal near Charminar on Saturday.

The Commissioner, along with senior officials, visited each every section of the entire building. He also visited Citizen Service Centre and interacted with the citizens to enquire about the working conditions. While on inspection, the Commissioner observed that the presence of lot of old files and dilapidated furniture. He directed the officials to clear the same on priority basis.

Janardhan Reddy interacted with the staff and enquired whether they were following the guidelines while issuing the birth and death certificates.

The Commissioner also visited Rs. 5/- lunch scheme at Puranapul and enquired with the beneficiaries about the quality of the food. He also visited Jiaguda Slaughter House at Ramsingh pur Moghal ka Nala where lot of garbage was accumulated. He directed the officials to remove the accumulated garbage in three days. He also visited Chudi Bazar Animal Care Centre and observed the operations which are being taken up.

South Zone Commissioner Srinivas Reddy, Chief Engineer Imtiyaz Ahmed, Chief Veterinary Officer Venkateshwar Reddy and other senior officials were also present. (INN)
