GHMC continues crackdown against erring hotels; seizes 1, fines 2

Hyderabad: Continuing crackdown against hotels not abiding by the health and safety rules, a team of GHMC officials, on Saturday penalised two hotels for using unstamped meat and for the unhygienic conditions in their establishments. Arman Hotel was imposed a penalty of Rs 30,000 and Shadab Hotel was imposed a fine of Rs 25,000, while Miskeen Hotel was seized for using spoiled chicken.

Raids continued on eateries across all the municipal circles in the city.

As reported by the Deccan Chronicle over 200 hotels were raided by the GHMC of which 75 per cent were fined for using stale meat. Their kitchens and other areas were also found to be dirty.
