Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has begun demolition of unauthorised constructions. Municipal staff has demolished unauthorised buildings in all 18 circles. They appeal citizens not to purchase unauthorised buildings. Because the civic body would not regularise buildings constructed after October 28, 2015 under the Building Penalisation Scheme (BPS) and Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS).
According to GHMC sources 13 buildings were demolished on 13, 21, and 11 buildings were demolished on February 20, 22 and 23 respectively.
