Hyderabad: Commissioner of GHMC, Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy wrote a letter to first Metropolitan Magistrate of Municipal Court, Mr. Anjaneyulu to request him to setup Mobile Courts in GHMC areas. He requested him to suggest fines for those who dump garbage on the roads and urinate at public places.
It may be noted that dumping garbage and urinating at public places is a crime. A fine of Rs. 100 or more could be imposed on defaulters.
It may be noted that Central Govt. issued instructions to State Governments to impose fines on those who dump garbage at public places. Central Govt. proposes to setup urinals at public places under Swachh Bharat Mission program. It may be mentioned that earlier a few temporary mobile courts were setup but later on these were withdrawn.
