Hyderabad: Veterinary officials of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) booked two persons for illegal slaughtering near Sunam Cheruvu Lake in Allapur on Sunday and confiscated illegally slaughtered meat.

They acted upon a complaint received by local residents. Md. Ismail and Md. Rasool were allegedly slaughtering buffaloes, sheep and goats near the water body.

As reported by The Hindu, west zone officials confiscated 60 kilograms beef, 12 kg meat, one buffalo hide and 10 sheep hides from the spot.
