Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will launch first ever electronic toilets in the city on Friday at Charminar. In the first phase GHMC has planned to set up about 20 e-toilets at several historical places including Golconda.
Besides historical places e-toilets will also be set up at General Bazar, Koti Women’s college, Gandhi Hospital, and in all IT corridors.
According to Janardhan Reddy the e-toilets would be power efficient and have coin operated entry. The e-toilet would be equipped with automatic self-flushing and self-cleaning mechanisms. The unmanned and automated e-toilets would have remote monitoring capabilities and their health status can be tracked through web.
