GHMC opens three more Rs 5 meal centers in city

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation today inaugurated three Rs 5 Meal centers.

Inaugurating a meals center near Fever hospital in Nallakunta, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin said the GHMC was spending Rs 30 crore on the meals scheme, which is beneficial for poor people. The scheme, the brain-child of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, was being implemented for the poor, he said.

While Khairtabad MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy inaugurated a center at Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital & Research Centre at Banjara Hills, Charminar MLA Ahmed Pasha Khadri declared open another center near Government Maternity Hospital at Petlaburj. Deputy Mayor along with Ghansibazaar corporator Renu also had Rs five meals. All local representatives and leaders attended the functions. (NSS)
