Hyderabad: GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan on Tuesday held a meeting with experts from Finland, a corporate company from Europe, to introduce multi-level parking yards and modernized parking facilities in the GHMC limits in the coming days.
The Mayor said that the GHMC was having around 40 lakh vehicles and lot of inconvenience was being faced for parking these vehicles. He said that the existing parking places were not up to the mark and therefore causing lot of traffic congestions. To resolve this, the GHMC is planning to construct parking yards at important junctions like Abids, in front of Imax, Necklace Road and at Shilparamam with the help of European firm.
Rammohan said that a separate App was being created to improve parking facilities in the city.
Additional Commissioners Surender Mohan and Shiva Kumar Naidu, Chief Engineer Suresh, Finland representatives Mark Pou Malin, Nora Karkain and Petri Nemela and other senior officials participated in the meeting. (INN)
