GHMC poll results leave Oppn dazed: Talasani

Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said drubbing in the civic polls left the Opposition parties in a shock.
Interacting with his supporters and party activists at his residence in West Marredpally here on Saturday, Talasani said the Opposition parties, which ruled the roost for quite some time, were caught in the mystery of drubbing. The leaders of the Congress, Telugu Desam and BJP are left with poll time enigma and need more time to come out of the puzzle, the minister said.
The Opposition parties tried in vain to malign the TRS image to garner support from the people, who instead reposed faith in the ruling party, he remarked. Extending thanks to the people of his Sanathnagar Constituency, the minister said he would be indebted to them for his life and will keep all the promises. He also exhorted the victorious corporators to visit their respective wards and address the issues from February 7. Srinivas Yadav also said the Opposition parties should at least now respect the people’s mandate to the TRS. He also attributed the thumping majority in the civic elections to the perfect poll time management by IT Minister K T Rama Rao, who was on campaigning spree. The entire rank and file of the TRS followed the direction shown by the Chief Minister he stated. “Indeed we are responsible now and offer the best services to cater to the needs of the people”, Yadav said. “The number of seats we won in the civic polls rejuvenated our strength to offer best services in the GHMC area”, he added.
