GHMC seizes another hotel in Hyderabad for serving rotten meat, leftover Biryani

Hyderabad: GHMC officials on Tuesday seized a restaurant at Habsiguda for using rotten meat, storing leftover Biryani and cooking in unhygienic conditions.

During inspection GHMC officials found that Sri Ruchi Bawarchi at Habsiguda street number 8 was using meat that had stored for over a week and leftover Biryani. The stock found was giving off a foul odour.

The owner gave the excuse that they were about to dispose of the stock, but it was already lunch time. The officials also found the kitchen in a poor state of hygiene.

According to an official, the restaurant’s license had expired in March 2016 and was operating illegally.
