GHMC Special campaign to segregate Garbage

The GHMC has decided to observe entire February month as ”CHATTA VIDAKULA ROJU” from February 1st  to create awareness among citizens to segregate wet and waste garbage.

 

The entire staff will be working on this concept this month by involving citizens to create more effective awareness about 100 per cent segregation said Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC.

This concept will be conducted in all circle areas. Directions have been given to all Zonal Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners to conduct awareness campaign on segregation at households to reach the target of 100 per cent segregation he said. AMOHs have also been directed to take up the responsibility to ensure the segregation process from households till reaching the transfer station and instructions have also been given to provide separate dress to the Auto Trolleys drivers by sponsorship etc., as being done at Rajendra Nagar Circle.

 

The GHMC is having around 20 transfer stations out of which 9 have reached 100 per cent segregation process, Rajendranagar Circle 6.

 

There are nine Swastch Auto Tippers (SAT) which recorded 100 per cent segregated in different circle are: Rajendranagar Transfer Station (Circle No.6), Devendar Nagar Transfer Station (Circle No.2), Mallapur Transfer Station (Circle No.1), Deepti Sri Nagar Transfer Station (Circle No.12), Saradar Patel Nagar Transfer Station (Circle No.17), Neredmet Transfer Station (Circle No.17), Machchabollarum (Circle No.16), Saket Transfer Station, (Circle No.1) and HMT Pipe Line Road Transfer Station (Circle No.15)

 

75 per cent of the segregation is taking place in 11 transfer stations i.e., Amberpet

Amberpet STP Transfer Station, (Circle No.9B) ;      Imlibun Transfer Station, (Circle Nos.4A, 4B, 4C, 5A, 5B & 8) ;     Yousufguda Transfer Station, (Circle Nos.10 A & 10B) ;      Nallagandla Transfer Station, (Circle No.11) ;   Tank-bund Transfer Station, (Circle Nos.9A, 9B & 18) ; Nagole Transfer Station, (Circle Nos.3A, 3B & 3C) ;     Khaitlapur Transfer Station, (Circle Nos.14A & 14B) ;  Jiyaguda Transfer Station, (Circle Nos.7A & 7B) ;      Novopan, Compound wall Patancheru, (Circle No.13) ;   Moula Ali Transfer Station, (Circle No.17) ;    RC Puram Railway Track, Opp. ICRISAT, (Circle Nos.13)

 

Through segregation is taking place at households etc., but it has been observed that function halls, business establishments, hostels have not segregation, in this contest the entire February month the GHMC will concentrate on this issue.(NSS)
