GHMC to speed up Aadhar seeding works

GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar has deputed some of the senior officials as Special Officers to speed up the Aadhar seeding works in a more phased manner.

The Commissioner, along with senior officials of various Heads of the Departments of the GHMC, has reviewed a meeting today in the GHMC Head Office.

Somesh Kumar said that there are about 73,53,000 voters in GHMC limits and majority voters were already seeded. The GHMC officials in coordination with political parties deployed booth level officers for door to door Aadhar seeding which has been taken up duly conducting the meetings at Circle and ward levels.

As per the directions of the Election Commission of India, the Commissioner, GHMC has appealed all the citizens to come forward for linkage of Aadhar seeding with Voter ID. The booth level officers are already in the field for door to door verification and Aadhar seeding and citizens can also get their linkage through SMS/ Internet / at all Mee Seva Centres. To oversee the operations under the supervision of the concerned Deputy Commissioners and Zonal Commissioners and the concerned officials are monitoring the percentage of the seeding on daily basis.
