GHMC Summer Coaching Camps from April 24

The GHMC Summer Coaching Camps-2017 will start from April 24 onwards across the greater Hyderabad. The GHMC is expecting that about 1.5 lakh children will participate in the camps. The GHMC is going to give coaching to the children in 2014 centers in 51 sports categories.

According to GHMC note, the GHMC has allocated sufficient funds for the conduct of these summer coaching camps to the children. The GHMC was conducting these summer coaching camps since 1968 onwards in a big way. The first summer coaching camp was held with the 1600 children at 10 play grounds with 15 coaches in six games. This year about 2065 national, international and senior coaches were participating in the camps. The children from six years to 16 years would participate in the camps from 6 AM to 8AM every day. About 32 lakh benefited with these summer camps in the last 49 years. From cricketer Azaharuddin to shuttler PV Sindhu were benefited with these summer coaching camps and developed as international champions in their game.

Under GHMC limits, 521 play grounds, 7 swimming pools, 13 sports complexes, 7 roller skating rings, 5 tennis courts were there. The GHMC officials informed that they will select the children showed talent in the summer coaching camps and form teams to send local, state level and national level competitions.

GHMC Commissioner Bonthu Rammohan would inaugurate the Summer camps on April 24 at Central Zone limits. Deputy Chief Minister Mohamood Ali, Ministers Nayani Narsimha Reddy, T Padmarao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, MPs Dr K Kesava Rao, Asaduddin Owaisi, MLAs Rajasingh, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin, corporator Mamatha Gupta would attend the program. East Zone camps would be inaugurated on April 25 at Uppal Stadium, South Zone camps on April 26 at Quliquthub Shaw Stadium, North Zone camps on April 28 at Marredpally grounds and West Zone camps would be inaugurated at PJR Stadium at Chandanagar.
