Good News for MBBS aspirants, MCI cleared Nimra, two other colleges in AP

Hyderabad: Nimra Institute of Medical Sciences of Vijayawada got Medical Council of India nod to start MBBS courses from the 2016-17 academic year.

Nimra Institute of Medical Sciences established by Nimra Educational Society in 1991.

Three Medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh cleared by the Medical Council of India, to start the course MBBS from the 2016-17 Academic year.

It comes under the jurisdiction NTR University of Health Sciences at Vijayawada.

According to the news published in The Hindu, the following have been approved by the MCI with an intake of 150 seats in each, Gayathri Vidya Parishad Institute of Medical Care and Health Technology at Marikavalasa on the National Highway, Visakhapatnam; Nimra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ibrahimpatnam, Vijayawada; and RVS Institute of Medical Sciences, Chittoor.

More than 3,000 MBBS seats are available in the Government and Private Medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh under the NTRUHS, and number will go upto 450 with permission given to these three new colleges.

MCI granted permission after satisfying itself and the facilities available in the colleges, the colleges to comply with norms within three months and provide a bank guarantee of Rs.2 crore said MCI.
