Minority Welfare Department has decided to celebrate Minority Welfare Day and Education Day on November 11 on the occasion of birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. 5 minority institutions have been given the responsibility of arrangements. The programme will be organised at Ravindra Bharathi with the cost of Rs. 2.5 lakh. Hajj Committee, Urdu Academy, Waqf Board, Minority Finance Corporation and Christian Finance Corporation will contribute Rs. 50000 each.
Maulana Abul Kalam Azad National Award will be presented on the occasion.
