Govt. has no interest in preserving Waqf properties

waqf board

Hyderabad: Government of Telangana is least interested in protecting Waqf properties in Telangana. Waqf Board crisis continues for the past 15 days despite formation of Waqf Tribunal for the protection of Waqf properties. The office lacks basic infrastructure.

A 3-member Waqf Tribunal headed by a district judge
was formed a month ago but the Minority Welfare Department didn’t pay attention towards providing a separate office for the tribunal. No chamber was allotted for court room and nor for members of tribunal. Workers were also not allotted for the tribunal nor any register or stationary is provided till date. As a result the tribunal failed to start functioning even after its formation.
