Govt. releases budget of 63 Cr for Minority Welfare

Hyderabad: Government order was issued for release of 6324500000 for implementing various schemes of Minority Welfare Department.

Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel released the budget for financial year 2016-17. 1.5 Cr was released for Centre for Educational Development of Minorities (CEDM), 75 lakh were released for Telangana Hajj Committee. 2.62 Cr was released for Telangana Minority and Christian Finance Corporation. 35.5 Cr was released for honourarium to Imams and Muezzins under Waqf Board, 1.5 Cr was released for construction of Urdu Ghar and function halls. 15 Cr were released for Overseas Scholarship schemes. 3.5 Cr was released for Telangana Study Circle, 1.87 Cr for repair and renovation of Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid and 2 Cr was released for Training and Employment scheme.

Director Minority Welfare has been authorised to obtain the amount and release it to respective institutions.
