Govt. sanctions Rs. 15 crore for Iftaar Party: Mahmood Ali

Hyderabad: Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Dy. CM of Telangana State convened a meeting in his chamber in Secretariat yesterday to make proper arrangements during Ramazan. There are complaints that during the time of Taraweeh prayer, electric current is disrupted in many areas of Old City. Mr. Mahmood Ali instructed the officials to keep generators ready in mosques including Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid of Public Garden.

The meeting was attended by Mr. T. Srinivas Yadav, Minister for Animal Husbandry, Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare and the officials of Electricity Dept. and GHMC. He also instructed the officials of GHMC to ensure Health and Cleanliness in the City.

Mr. Srinivas Yadav instructed the electricity and Municipal officials to be present in their offices round the clock during Ramazan and also furnish their telephone numbers to Masjid Committees. Mr. Mahmood Ali informed that Govt. of Telangana sanctioned Rs. 15 crore for arranging Iftaar.
