Hyderabad: Mr. Madhusudhan Chari, Speaker of Telangana Assembly told that Govt. of Telangana is working to promote Ganga-Jamuna Civilization of Hyderabad. He was addressing Iftaar Party gathering hosted by Hyderabad Union of Journalists.
He further told that there has been a tradition of Ganga-Jamuna Civilization in Telangana which TRS Govt. is maintaining. Due to this reason, Govt. took steps to celebrate the festivals of all the religions at Govt. level. During Ramazan, Iftaar party was arranged by TRS Govt. and clothes were distributed to poor Muslims as gifts. It is a unique act which has no parallel in the entire country. He applauded the step taken by Telangana Union of Journalists for hosting Iftaar party. He told that it is a good tradition.
Present on this occasion were Mr. D. Amar, Secretary General of Indian Journalists’ Union. Mr. Tahir Rumani conducted the meeting. Mr. T. Koti Reddy, President of Hyderabad Union of Journalists welcomed the guests whereas Mr. Mohammed Riyaz Ahmed, Treasurer of the union proposed vote of thanks. Present on this occasion were, Mr. Rahath Ali, General Secretary of Telangana Union of Working Journalists and Mr. Syed Khaleel Qadri former President and others.
