Hyderabad: Telangana government today said the municipalities which complete the targets under the ‘Haritha Haram’ programme will be given additional grants for development as an incentive.
As part of the Telangana government’s programme, Municipal and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) participated in tree plantation drives at different places here.
The government will review the plantation (of trees) after six months and those municipalities who stood first not only in plantation but in safeguarding them with high percentage of survival will get incentives liberally, he said.
“Those municipalities which complete the targets given to them under the programme will be given additional grants for development as an incentive,” the Minister said.
According to Rao, the said programme is for the public and every citizen should participate in it as a social responsibility.
