As part of the premier sailing event held annually in the twin cities, Hyderabad Sailing Week, a Green Brigade Walk and Swachh Bharat event was organised by Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), Secunderabad for the school children.
The event was held today on the shores of the picturesque Hussain Sagar Lake , the venue of the sailing event. As part of the event, 210 children from the three local schools namely Army Public School, Bolarum, Army Public School, RK Puram and Telangana Sports School, Hakimpet participated in the walk from the EME sailing club to Sanjeevaiah Park, to promote health awareness among the youth of the twin cities.
As part of the Swachh Bharat campaign and to generate greater awareness among the youth of the twin cities, the children also carried out cleanliness drive along the road. The event saw a very enthusiastic response from all the young participants, which is sure to generate greater awareness among the proud citizens of the twin cities. (NSS)
