Gur closes quiet on thin trade

NEW DELHI: Lethargic conditions developed at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today with prices continuing to move in tight range, settled at previous closing levels in the absence of any worthwhile moving activity.

Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also pegged at same levels on little doing.

Marketmen said muted demand due to off-season along with negligible arrivals mainly kept gur prices steady.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,700, chakku Rs 2,950- 3,250, khurpa Rs 2,950-3,000 and Ladoo Rs 3,200-3,250.
