Gutha’s decision to join TRS was commercial, not political: TPCC

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy on Monday alleged that Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy’s decision to join TRS was more commercial in nature than political.

Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Narayan Reddy alleged that Gutha’s son Amit Reddy and his father-in-law Sudarshan Reddy owns a company called VARCES which has bagged two projects worth Rs. 800 crore in joint venture with Mega Infrastructure. He said it was this project which forced Gutha to quit Congress and join TRS. He said Gutha always had commercial benefits in mind while doing politics. He ditched TDP after staying it with nearly 25 years and joined Congress and now he joined TRS.

Narayana Reddy said Gutha did nothing for the party and it was K. Jana Reddy and N. Uttam Kumar Reddy who gave several sacrifices to strengthen the party in Nalgonda district.

Meanwhile, Nalgonda DCC President Bhikshamaiah Goud asked Gutha, Miryalguda MLA Bhaskar Rao and CPI MLA Ravinder Naik to resign from their posts before join the TRS. (INN)
