Guv exhorts TS, AP States to forge ahead with mutual cooperation

Hyderabad: Governor ESL Narsimhan here on Wednesday advised the two Telugu States to forge ahead by extending mutual cooperation. Whatever were the reasons for bifurcation of united State, the infant Telangana and the residuary Andhra Pradesh States were racing towards rapid development, he added.
The Governor was speaking as the chief guest at the Common State Council Meeting of Bharat Scouts & Guides Associations of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh at Ravindra Bharathi here this morning. The Governor observed that both the Telugu States should take special interest in organizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s prestigious program of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by the Scouts & Guides at least once a month and deliver a good message.
K P Mishra, Common Administrator for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and Senior Vice President, Bharat Scouts & Guides, India, Kalvakuntla Kavitha, MP, State Chief Commissioner, G Kishan, IAS, State Commissioner (Scouts), BS&G Telangana State Association, S Balasubramanyam, IAS (Retd), State Commissioner (Scouts), Sandhya Rani, IAS, State Commissioner (Guides), BS&G Andhra Pradesh, Vice-Presidents, District Chief Commissioners, District Commissioners (Scouts & Guides) and all other State Council Members from the both the State Associations attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Kalvakuntla Kavitha thanked the Governor for all his support and guidance. She felt that though the State Associations have been bifurcated, they continue to move hand in glove and working for strengthening the movement. She opined that there was a need to extend better incentives to bring more children into the movement. Being a Parliamentarian, she said she would raise the issue in Parliament and try her level best to implement more incentives which are beneficial to both the trainers and Scouts & Guides. Balasubramanyam, K P Mishra and A Chandra Shekhar, State Secretary, BS&G Telangana State Association also spoke.
The Governor presented awards and certificates to the trainers and Scouts & Guides, who rendered exemplary services for the movement. (NSS)
