Hyderabad: In some of the areas of Telangana, there was hailstorm on Tuesday night. In Hyderabad also there was heavy hailstorm. It is reported that it is due to the climate change which is causing heavy damages to crops.
It may be mentioned that in 2015-16, crops were destroyed due to hailstorm which caused a loss of Rs. 116 crore. In Rajasthan and UP hailstorm occurred which damaged 6-7 thousand crore crops.
According to the report released by Central Research Institute for Dry Land Agriculture, the dangers of hail storm have damaged agriculture sector. The review report mentions that during the past, hailstorm used to occur for 6 to 10 days but it is occurring now incessantly.
