Hajj 2017: 200 seats allotted for ‘Mahram’ quota

Hyderabad: Hajj Committee of India has allotted 200 such seats for the entire country under ‘mahram’ quota. Hajj Committee of India has issued circulars to all the state Hajj Committees in this connection.

Special Officer Telangana Hajj Committee Prof. S A Shukoor told that women who couldn’t apply for Hajj in time can now undertake pilgrimage if their close relatives are proceeding on Hajj. They can now accompany their male ‘Mahram’ who are already selected for the pilgrimage this year.

In case the number of applicants exceed, selection would be made on the basis of ‘Qurrah’ (draw of lots). The last date for applying for the Mahram quota is May 8. Date will not be extended further.
