Hajj Committee of India fixes second installment for Hajj 2017

Hyderabad: The Hajj Committee of India has fixed the second installment of the Hajj amount that is to be paid on or before June 19. Making this announcement, Telangana State Hajj Committee special officer S.A. Shukoor said that the selected pilgrims of Telangana, leaving from the Hyderabad embarkation point and those who have already paid the first installment of Rs 81,000 (per head), are required to deposit the second installment.

The green category pilgrims need to deposit Rs.1,54,150 per head, the Azizia category Rs. 1,20,800 per head, while the Rubat category pilgrims must deposit Rs. 75,900 per head. Infants will be charged Rs. 12,650 per head.

In a major announcement Hajj Committee of India has exempted repeaters going on Hajj as Mehrams, from the payment of additional amount which earlier used to be around Rs. 35,000. The Shia pilgrims opting for Johfa as Meeqat are required to pay Rs 1,739 extra per head.

Since pilgrims have already paid Rs. 81,000 as the 1st instalment, the total amount of green category pilgrims would amount to Rs. 2,35,150, Azizia category Rs. 2,01,800 and Rubat category Rs. 1,56,900. Aspirant selected for Rubat accommodation will save Rs. 44,900 per head. Prof. Shukoor added that pilgrims who want to offer sacrifice through Islamic Development Band will have to pay additional Rs. 8000. He requested the aspirants to deposit the amount in Central Hajj Committee account in State Bank of India and Union Bank of India. The amount can also be directly paid at Central Hajj Committee website.
