Mr. Hamed Mohammed Khan President Jamat-e-Islami Hind Telangana, Andhra and Orissa said that democracy has no place for violence. He strongly condemned attacks on journalist and political leaders and said that in democracy competition is done through ballet not bullet. Such incidents are harmful for healthy democracy. He declared the attack on journalist Mubashiruddin Khurram as unfortunate, and said that besides the journalist, attacks were also made on political leaders, Shabbir Ali, Azam Ali, Uttam Kumar Reddy and others. Mr. Khan demanded strict action against the offenders.
