Hamilton claims pole position for F1’s Italian GP

London, Sept. 6: Reigning Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton has claimed his 11th pole position of the year after securing victory at both practice and qualifying sessions ahead of the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, which starts from today.

Nico Rosberg, who faced engine problems, will start the upcoming race at fourth position.

Reacting on his position, Hamilton said that the other drivers did a great job too, Stuff.co.nz reported.

Ferrari drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel have qualified for the second and third spot respectively and will, therefore, joins Hamilton on the front row.

Meanwhile, Vettel, who is racing for the first time in Italy, considered it as a fantastic result, adding that it is going to be a tough race. (ANI)
