Ahmedabad: Hardik Patel, a leader seeking quota for the Patel Community, was on Wednesday sent to in police custody till January 15 by Mehsana district courts in connection with rioting and assault.
Hardik has been lodged in the Lajpore Jail for over past three months. He faces two sedition cases, one at Surat and another at Ahmedabad.
Hardik is one of the accused in an FIR filed on July 23, when a rally of Patel community seeking reservation turned violent, resulting in damage to property and assault on some mediapersons. (ANI)
