Harish inaugurates “Edupayala” Jathara

On the auspicious occasion of Maha Sivarathri festival today, Marketing Minister T Harish Rao inaugurated the popular “Edupayala Ammavari” Jathara after presenting silk clothes to presiding deity Vanadurga Ammaru. Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy also performed special pujas at the Edupayala temple in Medak district. They attended the special ritual on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said unlike the previous governments, the TRS government was striving to give a face-lift to all the temples in the State. Stating that all the tanks in the State were brimming with water due to the “fruits” of Chandi Maha Yagam performed by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the irrigation minister claimed all the farmers in the State were very happy due to the efforts of the Chief Minister.

Harish Rao reminded that farmers were growing crops in some 18,000 acres under Ghanapur ayacut. He said he prayed the Goddess Durga to give wisdom to Congress leaders not to sabotage the irrigation projects in the State.
