Harish slams Oppn for “running away” from the House

Severely condemning the hostile attitude of the Congress and TDP, Legislative Affairs Minister T Harish Rao has alleged that the former walked out of the House as they have no guts to participate in the discussion.

Speaking at the Assembly media point here on Friday after the adjournment of the House, Harish Rao demanded the Opposition parties to explain as to why they staged walk-out instead of remaining in the House to air the people’s problems if they are sincere. The Opposition parties should have behaved in a responsible manner, he said, adding that the BAC took a decision to initiate action against the members, who try to obstruct the Governor’s speech.

Harish Rao reminded that the ruling party made it clear in the past that the government was ready for any discussion on any issue. He also reminded that the government ran the House till the Opposition parties disrupted the House in a pre-meditated manner. He also said the Opposition parties could have lodged their protest after the Governor’s speech as any party can say anything after the Governor’s speech.

Stating that the Opposition parties were “clean-bowled” in the previous session, Harish Rao said the hostile Opposition ran away from the House lest they have to praise the government’s welfare schemes. He reiterated that the State government was ready to give answers to the Opposition parties on any issue they raise in the House. (NSS)
