Madurai: The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court today issued notice to Tamil Nadu government and MGR Medical University on a petition seeking appointment of qualified persons to teach para-medical courses such as radiology and imaging technology.

A division bench, comprising Justice V.Ramasubramanian and Justice N.Kirubakaran, ordered notice to the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR University and the Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare department.

One batch of students completed the three-year degree course without proper instructors, he submitted.

He also prayed to the court to give an interim direction restraining the university from conducting the B.Sc.(R and I) course without qualified persons.
