HC questions govt. for not filing charge sheet against Akber Owaisi

The Hyderabad High Court on Monday gave one week’s time to the state government to give reasons for its `inaction’ against Chandrayangutta MLA Akberuddin Owaisi. In a petition filed in the High Court the petitioner questioned the ‘inaction’ on the police’s part, who had registered two FIRs, but not filed charge-sheets in these cases so far. High Court questioned the government why the permission for action was not granted in the case filed in 2012.

FIR was registered against Akbaruddin Owaisi in the Nirmal and Nizamabad police stations on December 8 and 22 respectively. On which case had been registered against him under section 153 A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the charges of inciting communal hatred.
