HC rejects YSRCP MP’s petition for stay on hearing

The Hyderabad High Court today rejected a petition seeking stay on hearing, by YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy and Jagati Publications on Monday.

           

Earlier, the High Court, responding to the petition filed by advocate Vedavyas asking the inquiry agency to speed up the YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s case, has directed the CBI to speed up the case. The Court also directed the CBI to conduct trial in CBI Court on every Friday.

Challenging the High Court direction to the CBI, India Cement’s Chief Srinivasan filed a petition in the Court seeking exemption on attending the trial on every Friday. Reacting to it, High Court granted stay on attending the CBI’s trial on every Friday by India Cement’s Chief.

In the same manner, Vijayasai Reddy and Jagati Publications filed a petition seeking exemption on attending the CBI’s trial on every Friday. But the Court dismissed the petition and cancelled the exemption given to India Cements chief. (NSS)
