Health Hazard threat to residents: PCB

Hyderabad: The Hussain Sagar nala near lower tank bund and the Marriott Hotel is posing health hazard threat to residents, by releasing foul smell due to release of wastage from the broken sewage pipelines. The irresponsibility of the officials of Pollution Control Board (PCB), HMWS & PB and is forcing the habitants in and around the area to suffer the foul smell.

The pipelines carrying waste from the Jeddimetla Industrial park to Amberpet Chemical treatment leak throughout the broken pipelines, when coming in contact with the Hussain Sagar Nala is creating foul smell for the inhabitants near the Hotel and the Gaushala near the Lower tank Bund.

A local resident, Pallavi Raj (34), living next to Bhagya Nagar Goseva Sadan, Lower tank bund says “It has been stinking like this for quite a while now, but mostly during the afternoons. Nobody has ever cared about it”. A worker at the Gaushala near Lower tank Bund, Mallesh Yadav(48) talks about his constant fear for the health of the cows in the near areas as reported in Telanagana Today
